How to Increase the Value of Malaysian RinggitBased on our findings, we reached into the conclusion that there a two significant ways to improve, stabilize and probably join on the value of Malaysian Ringgit internationalistly. First, the government should maintain the policy of open economy and also considering the usage of specious dinar in the currency strategy instead of fiat m anetary system. Maintain the Policy of Open EconomicMalaysia is a small and open economy which involved heavily in international trade. The economic theory suggested by Dornbush (1974) highlighted that the elimination of tariff (greater trade openness) bequeath cause currency depreciation by reducing the price of exportable goods and development the price of importable goods.Since the results showed that open economic policy can cause the depreciation of RM/USD, Malaysia should maintain the policy of open economic. Open economic policy has successfully elevated Malaysia position in the internationa l trade. Currency depreciation increases the competitiveness of Malaysia exporters and encourages domestic producer and importer to venture into cost effective production mode to save costs. Although increase in Malaysia trade equipoise tends to depreciate RM, but the control of Malaysia on the trade balance is limited as the increase in trade balance depend on the purchasing power of the foreign importers and the competitiveness level too.Results also indicate that increment in domestic interest rate will dampen our exchange rate and increase in money supply, on the other hand, strength the RM. This finding shows that monetary policy is a useful cock in controlling the movement of Malaysian Ringgit. While increase in the interest rate could cause further capital inflows tha... ...ry. The three main factors argon the use of gold and silver as a currency, to avoid currency devaluation, and to limit printing of loose money (fulus).In addition, manipulation of currencies and the imp act toward one economy could be reduced because of the fact that gold does not inflate in value as it is a commodity and, thus, has an intrinsic value. Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said that gold was also open to some risk of speculation but it was safer than conventional currency which had no intrinsic value and could be manipulated indefinitely (The Star, 2002). All these problems work up because the world went off the Gold Standard. In the International Conference on Gold Dinar Economy 2007, Tun Dr Mahathir noted that in the case of paper peck will have risk in losing their value and also purchasing power. He stressed back that only Gold Dinar really has a value in it.

Computers :: Technology
ComputersComputers are found in practically every household today. Everywhere you look, people have access to a personal Computer, some delegacy or another. As computers get more advanced, the demand for a better computer gets greater.The Personal Computer (PC), a machine capable of repetitively and quickly performing calculations and instructions. Designed to be used by a single person, a PC is smaller, less expensive, and easier to use than other classes of computers, such as supercomputers, mainframe computers, and workstations. However, it usually has less computational power.1 First appearing as massive machines seen only in areas of high technology, the computer eventually found its way into homes and offices in the smaller, more accessible form of the PC. They have revolutionized entertainment, science, the media, art, medicine, education, and business because they provide computational abilities at a low cost to people with no programing experience. PCs enable artists t o envision and manipulate images. Musicians use them for learning, creating, and recording music. Businesses track finances and forecast company performance using PCs. Foreign correspondents can compose intelligence information stories on portable PCs, called laptops, and electronically submit these stories from remote locations. Many people work at home and communicate with fellow workers via their PCs in a use known as telecommunications. PCs are also able to interface with worldwide communication networks, such as the Internet, and the graphics-based information database known as the arena Wide Web to find information on any subject. With a PC and a modem, a user is able to connect to information on local, national, and international networks via phone lines. As computers and software have become easier to use, or more user friendly, many people are finding them both serviceable and necessary for their jobs. As a family tool, this computer may be used for school, research, communication, record keeping, work, and entertainment. Mainframe Computer, a high-level computer designed for the most intensifier computational tasks. Mainframe computers are often shared by multiple users connected to the computer via terminals. The most powerful mainframes, called supercomputers, perform highly complex and snip

A Man For All Seasons :: essays research papers
A "Man for All Seasons" is about a macrocosm so subtle and saintly that an pseud who takes on the role must be able to project an almost superhu serviceman presence. As is evident, the story is based on the life of Sir Thomas much, man of God and chancellor to the court of Henry VIII. The year is 1530 and from what I know, actors in this movie typically wear transparent half-masks and double up on roles.More was the only member of Henry VIIIs government who would non be seduced or corrupted by Henrys threats. When the king asked More to sign an oath establishing the monarchy as caput of the Church of England, More refused. He could not alter the law, he said. As the play progresses and More loses his wealth and even his freedom, he becomes almost self-righteous in his strict adherence to the law. Exasperating, but he must remain sympathetic as his family goes down with him into grief and poverty. The man who plays him must show both his favorable disposition and his un shakable piety or the script would be just an exercise in mouthing lines.What I saw from the story was how the wheels turn in Mores mind, the glisteningof warmth and the bleakness of despair that flicker across his face. It is not enough to paint him as a man. He must be a man among grovelers and syncophants, a towering presence. A man for all seasons, in other words.In most cases, I am compelled to say that one probably would not be able to successfully preserve their integrity in a situation such as Thomas Mores. But in response to the headland of whether or not a man can reasonably hope to do so, I believe that Mores behavioral response exemplifies a positive hindrance of such.Even if it could not be reasonably expected for a man to maintain his integrity when consistently faced with such a dilemma, it would probably be asserted that such was understandable. Somewhat indirectly, this case reminds me of Aristotelian and Platonic discussions of virtue and the nature of man. Some philosophers would probably insist that man

Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglas Essay -- Slave Narratives
Narrative of the Life of Frederick DouglasFrederick Douglas, a slave born in tuckahoe Maryland, was half white and half black. His mother was a black woman and his father a white man. Though he never knew his father, there was intelligence service that it was his master. Douglas wrote this narrative and I felt that it was very compelling. It really showed me the trials and tribulations that a black man went through during times of slavery. In his early years, Douglas lived on a kick upstairs where he watched many slaves receive harsh beatings and whippings. For example, one of his masters whipped his Aunt Hester because she was not there when he desired her presence. At the time she was in the caller of another man, which was something that Colonel Lloyd, her master, told her not to do. As Douglas witnessed the whipping, he saw Lloyd take his aunt into the kitchen of the house and strip her naked. He then told her to cross her hands and as he tied them together and hung her on a hook, leaving her body totally open. Lloyd then began whipping her with a cow skin until she began to bleed. I was so scare and horror-stricken at the sight, that I hid myself in a closet, and dare not venture out till long after the bloody transaction was over (p. 4). As a result of witnessing many beatings such as this, Douglas was able to put much feeling and heart into his works.Douglas wrote about many whites that he had encountered. totally a handful of which were not cruel to him. The oversee...

Free College Admissions Essay :: College Admissions Essays
College Admissions Essay for Stanford As the beast ran rampant through the streets, I couldnt service but wonder if my work had been for naught. Trying to salvage any remains, I chased my dog from the room and stared at the havoc left in his wake. The city lay in ruins the buildings were razed. The prospect of beginning from scratch was ponderous, but I instantly welcomed the challenge. With patience and determination, I began returning the small plastic bricks into their former glory and then greater glory. Block by block I re built my cities and block-by-block they built me. From these Legos I learned valuable lessons in versatility, creativity, and tenacity. The sheer vastness of possibilities that Legos present is both intimidating and exhilarating. The colorful blocks lay strewn about in no fussy pattern and no particular order. From this chaos virtually anything can be created. As a child I gradually learned not to be intimidated by the endless possibilities but to embrac e them, to relish the opportunity to create something from nothing. A preschool teacher recommended holding me back one year. Because I favorite(a) the challenge of Legos to running about with the other children on the playground, she believed that I was socially and psychologically unprepared for school. Little did she realize that the creativity these blocks taught me became a cornerstone for the consist of my life. The seemingly insurmountable challenges gave me confidence and taught me to value cooperation. Watching my Lego edifices grow slowly but surely skyward taught me patience. Watching them fall again taught me the tenacity to continue onwards. Remembering how each task was created piece by piece allowed me to, line by line, memorize the works of historys greatest playwrights. I was able to join MEChA and help lead the Latino community as co-president, arranging events with our two hundred members. My organizational skills were further utilized as the commissioner of elections. Legos also taught me to help others and to ask for their help. I realized that with the creativity another person at my disposal, we could build things we had never even dreamed of on our own. During my senior year of High School I was introduced to crew. I was enthralled by the rhythmic grace of the sport. My dreams soon had me breathing the early morning air nearly flying over the surface of the water.
Three Stikes Law :: essays research papers
Is the common chord Strikes andYoure Out police force cruel andunusual punishment?     The purpose of my research paper is to analize how the Three Strikes Lawhelps to support our Constitution or violates it. I will discuss where the law camefrom and why we have it. I will also write roughly the positive and negative aspectsof the law as a whole. I hope to be able to analize the spirit of the law versus theletter of the law as it relates to this subject.     In 1994 California voters approved a ballot initiative known as "ThreeStrikes and Youre Out." Basically what it means is that people who are convictedof three felonies may kibosh up facing life in prison. There are some limitationsthough on how this law is executed. Not any felony constitutes a strike. For thefirst and back strikes only serious and violent felonies can count as a strike. Alsosome juvinille crimes can count. For the third strike any felony can be the finalblow. While for the first two strikes it takes crimes like rape, kiddnapping, androbbery the third strike can be a crime as simple as carring brass knuckles.      This law was enacted in 1994 after Polly Klaas was kidnapped from aslumber party in her home and murderedby Richard Allen Davis, who had two priorkidnapping convictions. The jury recommended that Davis be sentenced to death,and the sample imposed that sentence. On March 7, 1994, Governor Wilsonsigned into law AB 971 (Ch 12/94, Jones) referred to as the Three Strikes andYoure Out criminal sentencing measure. In November, the voters reaffirmed themeasure by overwhelmingly approving Proposition 184, an initiative that isessentially identical to Chapter 12. The measure is the most significant change tothe state criminal justice system in more than a generation. Govenor Wilsonpassed this law as part of his goal to crack down on repeat offenders anddangerous felons. The case of Richard Allen Davis was the prime ex ample of howthe law could be effective.
